In 2014 the company was awarded full CE Mark accreditation, fulfilling its obligations to meet the stringent requirements of the European Construction Products Directive 2011 (CPR) and securing compliance with the harmonised standard BS EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011 Execution of steel structures.
We can provide a fully CE Certified structural steel service tailored to your bespoke requirements – from single beams to simple end plates to full steel framed buildings for multiple applications in the construction industry:-
- Certified material – all steel supplied is fully CE certified under the control of our accredited Factory Production Control procedures;
- Certified processing – all of our internal value-add processes including cutting, painting & drilling are fully certified;
- Fabrication work – is sub-contracted to experienced, CE certified and accredited welders in accordance with BS EN ISO 3834-3:2005 and BS EN 1090-1 – our partners are fully qualified for butt, fillet & stitch welding for the production of structural steel fabrications such as end plates, base plates, top plates, notch & plate beam intersections, steel beams including header beams, angle and mitre cutting to exact tolerances etc.;
- Workshop or onsite welding services availablee;
- Qualified Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC) Consultancy in accordance with BS EN 286 &/or 9606 is available.;
- On-site installation – for pre-fabricated structural steel is available if required in partnership with our CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) accredited and Construction line approved installation specialists;
- Bending and Shaping service – we have access to a large network of fabricators and engineers and can almost always find a solution to any problem in the shaping and manipulation of metals;
- Test plates for your own certification – we also offer test plates for welder testing – an integral part of the requirements for CE Marking – S355 J2H plates provided both straight and bevel cut for both fillet and butt weld testing – already ground back – no prep required!
