Mark brings a wealth of experience to Laycock’s including:-
Corporal in British Army – service to the nation in far-flung places including Belize, The Falkland Islands and Norway.
Senior Production Management at Rolls-Royce Aerospace – responsibility for major engine delivery facilities in Glasgow, Barnoldswick & Derby.
After 207 years trading as a limited Company J W LAYCOCK is growing and developing new strengths and capabilities. The Company’s new ‘More than Metal’ brand emphasises how important the service the team delivers is to its customers.
Customers are taking advantage of our consultancy services to help and support them achieve their goals…the range of consultancy and research required by our customers is diverse from aluminium welding to advice on grades for repairing very old steam engines and from the availability of roofing products to the renovation of old manor houses.
Mark’s arrival will enable the Company and the team to fulfil its potential as they develop and improve the service that is driven by their customers exacting requirements.
Mark is a hands on manager who leads from the front. Mark has joined the Laycock’s family and is delighted to have joined an outward and forward-looking team. He brings experience including Just In Time; Quality Auditing; 5S and Process Reengineering which will be vital as we seek to improve and develop our service to be the best it can be for our diverse range of customers.
Mark is quickly learning the ropes at Laycocks and getting stuck in. He’s already completed a full Health & Safety Review and is learning quickly what ‘First Class Service in Steel’ means to our customers.
Mark is a keen Bradford City Fan and in keeping with our MORE THAN METAL logo loves his Metallica and ACDC.
