We have Simon Thornton Groundworks back as we are embarking on the next stage of concreting our yard.
Simon and his team have been battling the recent storms to upgrade the middle of the yard to improve access for customers, partners and our great team.
They managed to get the first of three new pours down despite Storm Ciara filling the newly prepared section with water. ‘Lake Thornton’ soon drained and we were able to get the concrete wagons in just a couple of days over schedule.
The new concrete and drains coped well with the additional rain coming from Storm Dennis.
Simon will be returning in the next few weeks to extend the concrete further and undertake running repairs to the car park.
